One of the reasons I became involved in amphibian conservation stems from my adoption of two sweet African Dwarf frogs. The larger, more laid back of the two is Henson. The smaller, nuttier frog is Kermit. To those who think frogs don’t make good pets … you couldn’t be more wrong. They can be quite entertaining and amusing. Even as a child I was fascinated by frogs and toads, spending endless hours watching them. We had one particularly large toad who spent years in our yard and I believe his progeny still remain.

If you find these little creatures as fascinating as I do, please drop a few dollars in the bucket of my Crowdrise charity. The frog photo below will take you there.

"Frogs are disappearing! 2,000 amphibian species are threatened with extinction and may not survive the 21st century. 200 amphibian species have already gone extinct since 1979 … that’s not normal!"
